Auto Body Shops In Philadelphia Benefit From Airbag Thefts

Over a busy three days on a weekend beginning March 20, thieves have broken into vehicles in Philadelphia to steal airbags.

In all, 17 Hondas and three Acuras were broken into by a theft ring police say have previous prison records.

Within one minute, thieves can unscrew three screws and steal the airbag. Vehicle owners are left with broken windows, an automobile that needs repair, and an insurance claim.
